Hi, I’m Thomas Brown. I teach sociology and criminology. This website showcases hi-tech artifacts that my students and I have created. I base my teaching on hands-on active learning, infused with formative assessment. My students and I make videos, engage in simulations, conduct original research, and build statistical models and data visualizations — starting from the first week of the Intro survey course.
